You're right, they have 24 women's synchonized swimming titles and two women's pistol titles in that time span, but I don't think the NCAA officially recognizes those two sports that's why I didn't list them.
I'm not sure it's fair to say "who cares" about those sports since we just ridiculed an OSU fan for only caring about football and not caring about all sports. I know if BG had a team in any sport that had 24 titles in 30 years we'd be very proud.
Sic Sic 80: Small world it is. Good to see you at the game last week. Not sure if bro slums here or not. Also not sure if I can make it this weekend. We all really want to show, but my son has a baseball game Sunday morning. Will be lots of red eyes if we make the trip. However, don't be surprised to see me. Go Falcons!

That made me laugh out loud!
I have to admit, it would be a heckuva lot more impressive if the Nittany Lion marching did a script Pennsylvania.
In high school, we (the marching band) did script SYLVANIA.
It was pretty amazing. And it took about 15 minutes!
Thanks again everybody. Hopefully I'll meet some of you tomorrow!!

So you did it in about as much time as it takes OSU to do the "Ohio."
I've got to say (and I know... Band Forum), but something that bugs me to no end about Script Ohio is (#1) how ridiculously long it takes. (#2) European marches, like the one that they play along with it should never be played anywhere over 100-104 beats/minute, yet they play it in the 132 neighborhood. So there's the rub. I hate how long it takes do do script Ohio AND the tempo of the march, but if they fix the tempo, it makes the drill another minute LONGER. Argh!!!!!

OSU = big time
BG = small time
OSU Fans = Followers
BG Fans = Leaders
Anyone can jump on the OSU bandwagon. It takes a TRUE college football fan to stand up for a school like BG!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
I'm just shocked it took tekekini more than 2 whole days to track this thread down and make his uber-predictable response. Normally he's on this anti-OSU stuff quicker than he's on Natti light at a co-ed fraternity bash.
Anyway, mind your own business. You've got your school down there in Columbus, we've got ours. Root for your team all you want. But don't think for a second that you can just put us down like that. The way I see it, we're 1-1 in the Big Ten, looking to improve to 2-1 next week against a shaky Northwestern squad. We'd do just fine in that overrated conference of yours.
If we go to Boston next week and knock off Boston College, which is an ever increasing possibility, you'll see BG in the rankings before season's end. Then we'll see who's small time.

Does being a fan of a BIG TIME program simply show that they are compensating for their SHORTCOMINGS?
Hope they all feel better about themselves now that they are part of the BIG BOY group - Alpha Grande Geeks .
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
AWESOME article. Ohio State only has 70,000 students. I am sure they can make room for some wishing to transfer to away from THE Bowling Green State University...

I havent been on here in a while..I have been traveling a lot lately.
ok so you make the top 25 at maybe 23..OSU is now #4 and Cal and USC still have to play each other.. OSU can move to atleast #3. Florida beats LSU in a few weeks OSU is already in the National title hunt again.
So you can still be small time at # 23 and OSU will go on being big time in national title games.

Of course he can. This is what people do when their self esteem is linked directly to the success or failure of a sports team.
na. I am a big Miami Dolphins fan. They suck. My self esteem has not suffered.
I am also a big Blue Jackets fan, and a Reds fan. All are pretty bad teams. I still do not suffer any loss of self esteem.
Maybe that is why you are so uptight? UT is pretty bad. Your self esteem must be effected by the way your teams play? It doesn't bother me. Maybe it bothers you?
