Great Freddie Quote from the Sentinel
"We’re all jacked,” said Freddie Barnes, BG’s leading receiver. “For me, I couldn’t wait to get the Boston College film watching out of the way.
“I want to go back and get some revenge from last year. That’s my mind-set,” he continued. “That’s what has got me, putting in more film time, putting in more reps (repetitions) and working harder on the JUGS to make sure my game is up to par so I can help the team win.”
-nuff said - the boys will be ready for Saturday

Freddie Barnes is my favorite player on this team and slowly becoming one of my favorite players of all time!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
That's the attitude you have to have after an ugly game like the BC affair.
Put it behind you. Leave it in the rearview mirror and focus on the windshield. The savvy players know that it's all about winning the MAC East and that the Miami game is a H-U-G-E step toward that important goal.
Beating Miami at home ... on their homecoming ... avenging the Mud Bowl loss ... man, sure like the sounds of that!

There's such a different attitude this year with this team. It's amazing what winning can do.

One of the reporters asked Brandon in the postgame interview after the WKU game about this year's attitude...he pointed out Magnone running 30 yards downfield without a helmet to help block on one of Mahone's int's as an example of the type of play we didn't see last year.
To his credit...Brandon sisn't spend much time rehashing last year. He just commented on the positive attitude and hard work that has defined the team so far.
During this weeks coach's show, Brandon talked about the 12 penalties the team took against BC and how some of them seemed to come out of frustration with the game. The team's reward for that was a set of 12 gassers to close out practice on Sunday. I think MACMAN would have liked to seen that...

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I'll bet he would. Frustrated wannabe coaches always love that kind of stuff. It makes them feel all Man-ly and stuff........Flipper wrote:One of the reporters asked Brandon in the postgame interview after the WKU game about this year's attitude...he pointed out Magnone running 30 yards downfield without a helmet to help block on one of Mahone's int's as an example of the type of play we didn't see last year.

I apologize. I was at work when I read it yesterday. I was not sure about the slowly part of the quote. When I read it again later, I realized I misread the quote somehow. I should be more careful with my emoticonsBGSUFootballFan wrote:Tiznow why did you quote what I said and then put a confused face?
