FWIW, I think FIU had to pay a $175,000 penalty for not honoring their contract.

I think an ideal OOC schedule next year for me would be...

vs. Minnesota
@ Memphis
vs. SEMO
@ Ohio St

With the next season having Memphis come to the Doyt, and starting a new home & home series with a lower tier BCS team like Minnesota.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

That's about where we are headed. The only clunker in here is the trip to Boise State. I would hope that, eventually, they make the trip to BG, but this series has been so hard to figure out.

2008
Aug. 30 @ Pittsburgh - eventually, we gotta play this one, the last part of a two for one deal that started in 1999. It's winnable.
Sept. 6 vs. Minnesota - the good side of a home and home, and a winnable game.
Sept. 20 @ Wyoming - first part of a home-and-home. Winnable.
Oct. 4 @ Boise State - Not sure where this gets us.
2009
Sept. 3 vs. Troy - First part of a home and home, I would think. Winnable, although Troy is no pushover.
Sept. 12 @ Missouri - another game we need to get out of the way. This is the third part of a two-for-one that started in 2001.
Sept. 26 @ Marshall -- Good get. First part of a home and home. Winnable.
Oct. 3 vs. Wyoming -- The good side of a home and home. Winnable.

It seems like the department is moving away from two-for-one deals. I guess I'd like to see them once in a while if they get us more interesting home games every few years. And, if we do them, then absolutely bring in a I-AA school to fill the gap in home games.

Agreed. With the 12-game schedule, we need to think balance.

Oh, you mean 4 home games just isn't cutting it for you? :smt076 *sarcasm*

How many home games do we have next year? I really want to be able to check out more than 4 in a season, so if we get 6 I'll be happy.
ROLL ALONG!!!
