Is it me or does this team get worse every game?

Post by zerothehero »

I just got home with my tail between my legs, from Oxford. The only positive thing I have to say is the weather was awesome. I had a good time tailgating with the Redhawk fans and fellow BG alum. Has anyone one else noticed that this team gets worse and worse? Any ideas why this is happening for a second year in a row?

Si Senor , we've noticed, and its because GB has a block of concrete for a brain.

Not just you......let the bashing of the coaching staff commence.

Miami had a really solid defensive gameplan for taking away the underneath routes and a good plan offensively for punching us in the mouth with the running game. We made no adjustments to our game plan whatsoever.

The cat is out of the bag on what BG is going to do offensively. 5 yard underneath routes with Sheehan and QB draws with Turner. We may be more predictable this year than we were last year.

Bingo. This type of predictability would be unacceptable in Karl's Pop Warner league, let alone Division IA.

Brandon has said we'll keep doing it unti it no longer works. I think that time has arrived.

Agree. You have to think that the injuries up front have had an impact, but 47 points given up to Miami? Unacceptable.

The tackling was awful for most of the day. I could not count how many times we tried to rip the ball out the carrier's hands without trying to tackle the guy first. It was a flashback to last year.

I didn't see much fire from the defense today either. Dozier would get fired up after a TD or two, but I didn't see it very often today. Bad combination of a bad strategy, poor execution, injuries, and what appeared to be a lack of desire.

I thought Haneline and Hargrove played pretty well. Other than that the D sucked. The offense had nothing either, but we ran a lot of low percentage plays. This team needs an attitude change right about now!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
