Quit complaining about talent

Post by The Niz »

For some reason people are complaining a whole lot about not having any talent on this team. We are LOADED! GB has put together a terriffic group of players. Its not the players fault when we lose like we did yesterday. Sure they were a little flat, but how much of that can really be put on their shoulders?

The only thing the players are to blame for yesterday is the classless crap a couple of them pulled near the end of the game.
Yeah right girl!

Oorah!

Who is saying we don't have talent. I say we are mis using ours. Look at last years game vs Miami we looked better than them playing on a horrible field. And now we don't even look like we belong on the same field.

We are weak on the DL, but thats about the only spot where we lacked TALENT to Miami. Even though the loss was mostly the coaches fault, the players need to take some blame too. They played with no heart and there is no excuse for that no matter what the gameplan is.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I think we lack talent on the DL, but otherwise we're a very talented team. However, the players cannot be absolved all responsibility for yesterday's performance. Ultimately it is the coaches job to have the players ready to play, but the players should have some pride in their own game as well.

I'd be real hard pressed to come up with much good to say about any of the members of that team (players, coaches, waterboys, etc) for yesterday's performance.

Haneline played hard...cripes, he had 18 tackles . Williams was really good on KO returns, consistently giving us great field position. Corey did a nice job on punt returns...he grabbed one on the boounce and took a couple of nasty shots rather than let it roll 10 more yards....

Other than that...meh....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I think we have only a couple of "3 star" recruits. A team like Notre Dame has nothing but 3, 4, and 5 star players. Wonder how Mr. Weis would do with our roster and Brandon with his. Hmm......

We're extremely thin on defense as a whole. Our DL is quite undersized, we only really have one true LB in Haneline, and our DB's can't cover or tackle anybody. Also, the fact that we constantly run a soft zone cover 2 doesn't help matters much. When you don't blitz, you set yourself up for exposure, which happened yesterday. Both sides of the ball right now are screwed up badly, and IMHO this is the last chance the coaching staff has to win me over.
