Week 6 Game Ball....

Post by Falconfreak90 »

I'm sorry but there was only one bright spot Saturday to get a game ball from me....

Roger Williams and the kick return team...did a great job giving the O awesome field position. It's a shame it was wasted so often. Williams has really come on as a threat.

On to Kent State....GO FALCONS

I was thinking the Game Ball should go to us BG fans who showed up to support the team...... that was the only bright spot.

So I Nominate PGY for driving up in what turned out to be the Clampett mobile

and the Freaks for driving down early to ensure some NE Ohio support.

Actually - I thought the same - great returns - but how did we not take advantage of starting between the 40 and 50 all day except for what.... twice. UGH!!!

1. Roger Williams- excellent kick returns all day.

2. Dan Macon- ran with more passion than everyone on this board has combined for the 2nd week in a row.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

LOL! Great pic, Tech. Thanks, again for the tips and directions. Never had any problems getting around and it really is beautiful scenery down there. Just gorgeous.

I thought Miami's new Softball field looked sharp as well.

This comment baffles me. Macon ran well, which is awesome, but since when do the people on this board lack passion? If they didn't have passion they wouldn't be wasting time at work posting on a BG messageboard, would they? I would argue that these are the very most passionate BG fans, the ones that seek out their like on the internet to discuss BG athletics, that's passion.

We have stories of people driving hundreds of miles to go to road games. Stories of people driving hundreds of miles to get to the home games. People driving cars that are smoking and dying.

And you question our passion!? Say what you will about us or our opinions, but the members of this site are not lacking in passion.

Also honorable mentions to:

Sinisa Vrvillo - kickoffs were all around very good. The coverage, not so good.

Anthony Turner - even when everybody knows what he's going to do with the ball, he still finds ways to move it. His play makes me wonder if QB by committee, Urban Meyer with Chris Leak and Tim Tebow, is a possibility.
MarkL has spoken.
You may all now return to your daily lives.

Didn't mean it in that way what so ever. I am one of those nutty fans that has way too much passion to make any logical sense. Just wanted to compliment Macon for bouncing off of tacklers, busting out a sick spin move, and willing his way into the endzone for the 2nd consecutive week.

I don't question anyone's passion on this board, that is why we were all so high after the Minny win and so low after the loss Saturday. I haven't gotten a chance to meet many people on here, but from the ones that I have I would dare to say they are some of the best sports fans I know.

Haneline should get some credit too...I think he was the only guy on defense to actually tackle someone

I was going to put him at #3 because he was just about the only defender trying to tackle as opposed to stripping the ball every single time. However, I believe I read on another thread that he was one of the players acting classless late in the game. That is why I left him off, if it wasn't him then I apologize.

He was jawing with someone on the Miami bench after he took a block to the back on a punt return...it looked like he was in some pain. IIRC, he said something to #14 from Miami and pointed to the flag. I don't know if that was classless...maybe he did something I missed or did something after I left...

Alright, cool...I guess I just misunderstood.

As for my GameBalls?

1. Roger Williams -- Obvious
2. Bus Driver -- Team made it down there & back safely.
3. SEC Scheduler -- At least the UK/LSU game was on at the same time to flip back & forth to a good game.

I didn't even see this happen, I was just going off of what someone else posted earlier. To be honest I didn't watch a whole lot of the 2nd half. I was either in the chat talking with people on here or flipping back and forth between ND/BC and LSU/UK. However, I did watch our drives when Glaud came in to see if the entire offense scheme would change and of course it did. This is why I was once again impressed with THOSE play calls and Macon's heart.

Hammb: Yes you totally misunderstood, but it's cool. No harm no foul. Oh and good call with the game ball to the LSU/UK game, because it put me in a slightly better mood after the big fat EGG we laid in our game!

Flip,
Only thing I saw him do "wrong" if you will...was point to the yellow hankie on the field after it appeared that MU has scored....again... all I know is that the PA guy kept calling him "Hanlon" or similar...and that he called him "Hanlon" EIGHTEEN times during the game! That's EIGHTEEN tackles folks... a heck of a lot for ANY linebacker to accumulate...also showed how torn up our D line was getting.

Haneline should never have been jawing with the Miami sideline period. It was another perfect example of us being totally beaten and outclassed by Miami. Him and Briggs taunting down 37-7 was the icing on the cake for the day and set me over the edge leaving with about 4 minutes to go in the 3rd.
