Wait a minute. Buffalo has a MAC loss. They got killed by Ball State. They aren't in first, Miami and Akron are. Unless the MAC did something completely retarded with the standings this year...
They did....this year the crossover games are meaningless and only come into play if there is a tiebreak situation. For ex. playing Toledo is like a non-conference game now.
Okay, I wasn't aware that the MAC did this.

If anything, that might hurt us a little bit because we'll probably beat both EMU and Toledo easily if we play a decent game against them. It's these next few games that are really important, Miami, Kent, and Akron in particular. (I think we'll take care of Ohio unless we play terribly that day) At this point I think we're in good shape, especially with Kent on the bottom looking up and Buffalo in the penthouse. You just KNOW Buffalo isn't going to be there for long, so if we can win 3 of these next four games we'll be in the drivers seat more than likely.

Well, the title of this thread basically stated it all. But after three games into the title-mentioned month of action, we now really find ourselves behind the eight ball. I know our season is not over, but this weekend's loss really hurt our chances for a MAC Championship and possible bowl bid. This team really must dig deep to find out what is left in the tank. With the loss to Ohio, I don’t think we can even think anymore about a MAC Championship or bowl game, we need to just focus on winning another game. We have lost three of our last four games, and two of those have come against MAC opponents that we “should” have matched up well with, but we lost both. It really is going to come down to one game at a time now in hopes of not finishing with another losing record, and right now the question is, can we beat Akron at home?

Here's where things stand now:

MAC EAST/DIVISION/MAC/OVERALL
Buffalo 3-0, 4-1, 4-5
Miami 2-1, 3-1, 4-5
Temple 2-2, 3-2, 3-5
BOWLING GREEN 2-2, 2-2, 4-4
Akron 1-2, 2-2, 3-5
Ohio 1-2, 2-3, 4-5
Kent State 1-3, 1-4, 3-6

MAC WEST/DIVISION/MAC/OVERALL
Central Michigan 3-0, 4-0, 5-4
Ball State 2-1, 3-2, 5-4
Eastern Michigan 2-1, 2-2, 3-6
Western Michigan 2-2, 2-3, 3-6
Toledo 1-2, 2-3, 4-5
Northern Illinois 0-4, 0-5, 1-8
GO BG!!!

It's up to every person in the locker room. Those that aren't pulling their weight need to be reminded of what it takes.

I am hopeful the season will not turn out like last year.

I am shocked that at this point in the season, it is still very possible that we could see an Eastern Michigan - Buffalo matchup in the MACC.

Hey, that would be different! I actually am happy to see Buffalo having some success. They've been beaten around like a rag doll ever since they joined the MAC. I've been leary of our road game there all year cuz they have been playing good ball.
