Who are you to say none of us have been around him on the football field, you dont know who posts on here and who knows what. If you are an ex teammate and dont have the balls to identify yourself after calling out a teammate and his father, then I would say you are indeed the wuss...what teammate would go on a message board and bash another kid about how tough he is? grow a pairFalconballer wrote:Say what you will but you guys were never behind close doors. I was. I know what goes on...you guys do not. He is a wuss when it comes to pain, you fools have never been around him on the football field so you are clueless. Once again his courage has never been questioned or his ability just his ability to deal with pain. You guys are making it out to be more than it is. Im not attacking him personally or his ability, just the mere FACT that he cannot deal or play with pain.
The fact that you guys associate a football injury with masturbation makes me wonder about your sexuality. And sparta get as mad as you want, we all know you are just living vicariously through corey. dont you wish you could just go back.

You are pretty ballsy if you are a player now. Coach Brandon will flip a switch if he catches you on here. All this was just insight to part of whats wrong with this team. toughness thats it.

WOW...for awhile there, I thought I was reading bigdog's posts on the hockey board.......
Corey and Spart: You know how the REAL fans feel about both of you. Hang in there, Corey and GET WELL!!! Your health is what matters most.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Why don't we just stop this juvenile pushing match and use our internal ignore button?

You're both right in this instance. It is very easy to get emotional about this team and this sport. I said my peace several pages ago and I have left it at that. I learned my lesson in the hockey forum - if someone has an axe to grind, there is no sense in perpetuating the grinding. I would suggest we all take a lesson from me and my own stupidity and just leave this crap alone.BGFootball wrote:You are right, I appologize for draggin this on even more.BGDrew wrote:Why don't we just stop this juvenile pushing match and use our internal ignore button?

The only thing left for 'baller to do is either identify himself or slink away quietly.

I have not played college football, but I played high school football, and trust me when I say that a player's perspective of his teammates is different than the fans' views or the town's views. If FB is a former teammate of Corey, he probably knows things about all sorts of players that we all don't know. I mean, I could tell you all of the illegal crap a few players on my high school team did (sharpening corners on facemasks, taking hits off inhalers before games, etc.). We even had a player that would fake an injury after every play that he missed a tackle, and he was a linebacker. He would have 5 or 6 "injuries" a game. But, if I were to ever tell anybody this outside of the team, nobody would have believed me.
Now, don't get me wrong, if he injured his thumb that bad, he doesnt' belong out on that field, especially not at the receiver position. I've played with injured fingers/hands, but I played offensive line and therefore could have my hand taped up so much it looked like a volleyball. It didn't matter, because if I used my hands on the offensive line, I was probably holding, so in a way the tape helped keep me out of trouble.
I think it's safe to say that somebody made a comment without knowing all of the facts, and then after knowing the facts has realized that Corey doesn't belong playing with this injury because he wouldn't be worth a lick trying to catch the ball with one hand. Now, as for past injuries, they sound severe and I know I would have at least sat out a few games due to those. Heck, it's not like we're getting paid to be out there, and honestly an education is more important than an NCAA football career.
As for the personal attacks both ways, everybody thinks they're all high and mighty, but the moment you stoop to calling somebody an idiot (or other similar words), you're no better than that person. After FB said what he did, if you didn't agree, voice that opinion, but leave off the, "You're the worst person in the world for thinking that, you suck weiner, hope your hard-on falls off, etc." I can understand why Spart was upset (heck, it's his kid), but then personal attacks were flying all over the place. I think everybody involved needs to step back and evaluate what they said. Notice, I said EVERYBODY. Even I probably said something in this post I could have skipped, and I'll probably read this later and regret typing it.

I have periodically checked this board for awhile and haven't seen a thread elicit such a response. That said, as an athlete (former or current) in a team sport your comments were voiced in the wrong place. What is your motive here? What you see, what you say, and what you experience in the locker room is sacred. In locker rooms players are at their most vulnerable, address topics that aren't always pc
, and expect these things to stay in the locker room. You have broken the code. My unsolicited advice at this point would be to never out yourself on this forum because guys you played with will never look at you the same again. I'd like to think that this is a mistake, but with all of your continuing comments that is a tough arguement to make. Go Falcons!!
You either get better or get worse, but you never stay the same.
