Clemson/So. Carolina fight
Clemson/So. Carolina fight
I hope to never see the sort of scene that occurred in the Clemson/USC game yesterday at a BG/UT game. It's okay to hate the other school, but don't embarass the alumni of either school by acting like Mike Tyson and Ron Artest. I heard a comment from a Clemson senior running back to the affect of "at least we didn't go into the stands". That kid ought to lose his scholarship and should offer an apology to all of the Clemson alumni that have to watch that mess. Let's hope that we have a clean, hard-fought game on Tuesday night that ends in congratulatory handshakes for the Falcons on going to the GMAC Bowl.

I totally agree. It was an extremely disappointing end to Holtz' regular season. I saw that kid being interviewed from Clemson and I just wanted to hit him myself. How could you ever compare yourselves to the Thug Basketball Association and say at least we didn't do this or that.
That kid should be sanctioned by his coach/school for that crap. he basically said it was all good cuz i didn't kill someone!
I know that BG players are better than that, and i'd never expect to see us get into a fight like that.

That's exactly what Feinstein said on NPR this morning and I made a post to our blogs here at phillyBurbs in support of the notion.
Of course, you're right, the university presidents will prove themselves as gutless strawmen, wring their hands about the whole tragic episode, then make travel arrangements for their bowl games.
Pathetic.

ESPN was sayign that according to NCAA rules they are to be suspended of their next game.... a bowl. They said that odds are neither will go bowling this year. I hope this is correct, they certainly dont deserve to after that game.
