I would expect the GMAC bowl will not be the only ones trying to fill a spot quickly. I noticed that Navy has already accepted an at-large bid. This will definitely send a message to other bowls that they should act quick or get stuck with left overs. I have to think we will be on the quick list and not the left overs. There is also the possibility that Chryst will not let any bowl make an offer until the MAC options are known. I am sure they want to align our teams in a manner that makes sense. For instance, I don't think they will want to send Akron to play the toughest competitor. They will want the MAC to compete and win games. This is the best way to prove we are bowl worthy as a conference.

On the other hand, getting stuck with Akron is the bowls' problem, not the MAC's. We get paid either way.

Chryst is in a huge position of strength right now. I bet he's up until 2 a.m. trying to sort all this out. We may have a fourth bowl contract lined up by tommorrow afternoon. Early bird gets the worm. The late bird gets... Akron.

He better be....it is almost 2 AM and I can't sleep for the life of me in antisipation of the game tomo...errr...TODAY....in just under 17 hours!
