Injuries - Bowl Game

Post by Redwingtom »

Anyone know whether the lateness of our bowl game will allow any of our injured players to play?

Corey Partridge
John Haneline
Eric Ransom
Others?

Thanks.

I don't have any sort of inside knowledge, but I believe that Ransom tore his ACL, which means he's done until next season. Corey Partridge possibly could return from his thumb injury, but I think that might be unlikely. John Haneline possibly could, but is also unlikely, although I'm less familiar with his injury situation than the others.

But again, I have no special sort of information, I'm just going off the top of my head from what I can remember about the players injuries.

I would be surprised if Haneline comes back. He had surgery and is on crutches.

Corey gets his cast off on Dec 10th. Then his thumb will be evaluated on how well the ligaments have healed. He will have to have a quick rehab to get the stiffness out of it and to gain some strength. Not out of the question, but not better than a 50/50 shot at this point. I know he wants to play, but he won't push it if it is weak. He is excited about next seasons possibilities for this team.

Scott:

Glad to hear Corey is on the mend, even if not in time for the bowl game. Will you all be travelling to Mobile?
