That is not my fault.
You are correct. It's not your fault. I blame your parents for getting drunk that night and fornicating.

Myself and 5 others will also be attending the BGSU game while we're down there. I also know of 3 other groups of Buckeye fans who will be buying tickets to the game to support our Ohio brothers.

I am a big fan of football and love to see Ohio teams do well and will be there supporting BGSU. Good luck in the game!
I have never been drawn to root for OSU, just because I live in Ohio. I grew up in Bowling Green and attended games since I was young and my allegiances were to my local heroes and teams. That said....

That's really cool USMCBUCK10, quite a fun trip! I am trying to convince "Fulch" to do the same double. He is an OSU grad, but BG native and falcon fan.

That is cool...you need to find Dayon's Den's tailgate party the day of the game!

This is now officialy a PR nightmare. Couldn't we have just encouraged the OSU fans to go to the game without saying how few tickets we sell?

I don't think this is a PR nightmare at all. Most of the OSU fan respondents to that article thought this was a good idea. Whenever you are having a public internet discussion about anything having to do with a non-BCS program you are going to get intellectually bereft responses from people who know nothing more than being a front-runner. It happens.

Plus, I don't think any reporter would have written this article without including the numbers of tickets available/sold. It's a fundamental element of the story.

Oh, I suppose you're right Bleeding Orange, I guess we have to take the crunchy with the smooth, and if it saves us some of the $280,000 hit, then I'm all for it.

Meyer sounds like a child...lots of complaining and excuses. Ohio brought 8,000+ fans last year and the game was on a Sunday. Again, I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of Brown/Orange in Mobile.

........................and I certainly didn't think Professor Jackson's comments on the ESPN site, helped the cause! Almost as bad as some of Mr. Meyers.

why do my comments present a problem? I wish we hadn't aired our dirty laundry and given the "fans" of the B(s)CS schools a chance to mock us.

BO- I have to disagree with you. Yes, I just have to. Why, because I have a degree in Journalism/ PR from BGSU and I can identify a PR mess pretty quickly. I actually gasped when I read that article. And then to find it on the front of ESPN- egads!

Who is Dave Meyers? And who put him in charge of embarassing our university? I would like to hope he didn't graduate from BGSU but then we do have tekeinnnii.

The idea of a 2 games for 1 trip special for fans from the state of Ohio that like football is ok with me. The way is was presented- shoot me now and put me out of my misery.

Dave's the SID for football and also a really nice guy. I don't agree with our plan of action, but to put all the blame on something on the spokesman for the team? That's not right. If anything this plan came from GC.

Also, I'd be happy to give you Dave's e-mail address if you want to dispute his education?

Yes, the presentation wasn't the best, but no one will remember the delivery. Heck, hardly anyone is talking about it outside of ESPN - and memories are short there anyway.

This is but a blip.

Sorry Drew- You are right, someone higher up thought this was a good idea. I will try to regain my sanity and email the parties involved when I can behave myself.
