I had some fun with this this, good find and thanks for posting it.
I did notice that the default setting for the 03 team, was favors run, and while we did run the ball alot in 03, our O was not at all like say an Ohio state also listed as Favors run. 04 is default as westcoast which is close on the numbers.
so any way I played and when looking game averages for pass and run I landed on the 03 team needing to be listed as balanced. The majority of the games were tilted to the 04 team...but I still believe the 03 team, having the better run threat was a better team.

offensively the '03 and '04 teams were basically the same the only difference coming with J5 and Omar. Defensively they werent that much different either...Jason morton, Mitch Hewitt, Janson Patton.

If anything I say its the Defense that makes the '03 team better.
