WEll OK, clearly you did NOT have a good game. Tulsa really had their "A" game going today on a level we have only seen twice before (BYU and Houston, well... and the 1st QT against OU). Meanwhile a nice hit, some penetration, and a miffed punt really put the screws on you early. And for the record, YES - that late hit out of bounds call early was BS.

Tulsa was clearly more motivated and I believe better prepared. The execution was nearly perfect and our defense actually showed up. I would like your opinion if we stepped it up or if you guys dropped the ball - or both?

On the positive side for you guys is that most of the team was young but managed to stay composed. Many teams start getting personal fouls for stupid crap when the game gets ugly. I don't think I saw too many heads down. I know I'm grasping at straws, but things simply did not go well for you tonight.

I hope things stay on track next year and you claw your way back to the top. certainly the BG fans have impressed me as some of the most rational people on the internet (I know, not really saying much ;-) ). I've enjoyed our banter and your points about the quality of the GMAC Bowl were well founded - a very well publicized, organized, and executed event but all accounts.

Though I'm sure you are (understandably) pissed, I hope you remember that a post season birth is a treat and being able to complain about a bad bowl performance is something that half of division I teams wished they could do this year.

Thanks again guys,

- Jesse

First, thanks for the chuckle. I had all sorts of mental images with the above spelling foible. I think it was more like laying an egg! :-D

Tulsa is an awesome team you and your fellow fans should be very proud. Thanks for stopping in and best of luck to you in the future.

Cheers.

Oh spell checker, how you fail me with those stupid English words that sound alike - but are not. My 2nd grade teacher always told me I would NEED to know how to spell, generally I've been able to shun her "I told you so" with technology; but I guess she wins this one.

However, if on this ugly evening I was able to make a BG fan chuckle, I'll happily leave my spelling gaff as is and the associated images of a football team being birthed a-la Ace-Ventura or some other suitable imagery (none of which would be pleasant).

Technically, I think we started off behind the woodshed... they just found us there and kept us back there for awhile...

Very well said. Congrats to Tulsa.

btw, not to be a punk, but there's also a difference between a gaff and a gaffe. You needed gaffe here.

Sorry, I really try to stay away from grammar posts.

BTW, congrats on the win. I'd be thrilled if we were in your shoes.

It was good to converse with your fans the last several weeks. Sorry it turned out so lopsided -- I'm watching the replay right now and I see a lot of mistakes I don't think y'all usually make.

Hope your QB is OK.

Y'all have one of the more polite groups of opposing fans I've met. Hope we meet again! We might need another game next year.

I'd like to congratulate the Tulsa faithful for their team's play...they were ready...period. And the Tulsa fans that have been here the last few weeks are not only polite, but knowledgeable.

Best of luck in 2008...can we get that home game now from 1990? LOL!
