Tanski is an outstanding student. I would think he will receive some academic scholarship money from our Admissions based scholarship pool. Visit to BG included a close look at the Honors program. The posted link to our College of Technology show where some of these "engineering" students can fit in at BG. Many of these programs have a tremendous track record in job placement.

Tanski certainly is a fine leader on and off the field. And Mentor (and the rest of Cleveland's east side) sends a tremendous number of students to BG annually. Great area for us. As pointed out, Coach Trivisonno has BG connections and a track record with BG as far as football players go.

Go Fakcons!

I'll be on the lookout to see if he ends up joining the Honors Program. Maybe he'll join the Honors Student Association. If so, he'll be coming to me to do it because I'm going to be HSA's membership chair in 2008-09, and we're always on the lookout for new members. Very cool!

So back to Tanski ... I've been reading more of his stats and stories. He seems to run better than I thought and has a very strong and accurate arm. Also seems to have a knack for winning. Just looking at his stats and size, the two comparisons I see are Troy Smith and Todd Reesing. Both those guys turned out pretty well ... maybe we could find the same in Bart Tanski.
