Never, ever use the word impossible in regard to MAC scheduling. If there's a ridiculous, illogical scenario, the MAC office will give it serious consideration.

It may be months before we actually announce a schedule. And as has been noted already, the Boise St game has been moved and I wouldn't be surprised to see more changes. I'm not holding my breath that the fu**ing MAC office doesn't make us drop the Boise St game on 9/13 to play Kentucky, as that just so happens to be the date of that schedule clusterfuck.
I wouldn't mind that. Kentucky has Akron scheduled for 9/13, but 9/20 is still open.

87, if we went to NIU, we'd have 5 road conference games and only 3 at home. That's not permissible.

Since when are there any rules?

Not having 6 home games is OK with me if we're going to play OOC games, because those essentially dont mean a WHOLE lot (dont jump on me, sure they mean something), but to be put at a disadvantage in conference play and only get 3 home conference games is nuts!
After looking at last season schedules, of the teams that played 8 MAC games, everyone was 4 home and 4 road.
Of the teams with 7 MAC games, Miami had only 3 home i believe.
Is it possible that BG will only have 7 MAC games? Or is the something that only happens in the West with the east having stupid Temple and making it uneven?

Is that a question or are you saying it will be released today?
FYI, Akron is no longer playing KY, so that gets them down to four OOC games and eliminates the 9/13 issue that had Ball State playin at Akron, but Akron at KY.

Just got done reading the sports section in todays paper. Akron is out for UK, and Temple is as well. That opens UK for 9/13, and 9/20, and still needing one more OOC game. The MAC is supposed to be working with UK to find a replacement for Temple, and again Miami was mentioned but no agreement has been reached. UK is pretty good about scheduling a MAC team every year, however I can't see them wanting to schedule more MAC teams in the future if this stuff keeps happening.
How might this affect Akron's first game at their new stadium in 2009? KY was supposed to be the opponent, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Any idea?

The BG/UT game is scheduled for Friday, Nov 28. I like that. The Freaklings will be making their first ever appearance at the GB. I gotta try something to break this 6 game losing streak there for BG.

That I don't know. There was no mention of the 2009 date. I would hope the MAC didn't screw that deal over. UK is becoming a pretty good SEC team. That game would be huge for Akron to get at home if UK keeps playing like the last 2 years.
