Great place, great people, great hospitality, great facilities, great food. Game-not great, thus no more blue turf for me.DubLivitz wrote:Never.Want.To.See.That.Blue.Turf.Again.
I am sorry to hear that. We love our blue turf out here.![]()
Glad to hear most of you have had good memories of Idaho. It is a great place to live. I have been working in southern cal and miss it very much. IMO LA has the ocean but that is the only thing here that comes even close to equating to the beauty of Idaho.
Also, the airport is not far from campus so a car may not be necessary. There is quite a lot to do near BSU as well. A short walk or taxi ride would suffice.

I had the exact same problem in Georgia. Not all the people there were great but there were some good fans too. The game sucked mucho, otherwise it was a great trip.always a falcon wrote:

Hopefully the trip will be an enjoyable experience for the players and fans. The pricetag of our two western forays (Boise and Wyoming) this year is $183,000 according to Jim Elsasser in this Sporting News article:

I understand D-I football scheduling makes multivariable calculus seem simple, but couldn't we have found a couple of comparable teams that don't come with six-figure travel expenses?

$183,000??? Holy crap?? My cost for the weekend will maybe $183, tickets included. Of course, living only 2 hours from Boise now helps.
Actually that doesn't seem too bad. Once you really start think about what all it takes to move a group of people that far for a weekend, that's not too terrible.
