So, this is a BiG deal....first BiG Ten team ever at the Doyt, ESPNU, primetime kickoff...home opener.
Mrs. Freak doesn't want to get to BG around 2 PM like I do...I'll drop her off in Huron with the Freaklings and head up. She will borrow her Dad's car and drive up later. I know Dayon's Den will be up for the game and I'd like to get at least 5 hours of tailgating time in without the Freaklings or Mrs. Freak getting bored...so this plan will work.
Since the game won't be over until at least 10:30, I am getting a room across the street at one of the hotels so I don't have to drive back afterwards. This is gonna rock...
GET THE BALL ON THE FREAKIN' TEE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really hoping to make it to this game...I am starting a new job on August 4th but my boss is a BG Alum so maybe that will help my chances...I am extremely excited about this game and cannot wait to get to any game at the Doyt this year!

After their experiences tailgating the Akron and Toledo games last year, I'm pretty sure my parents have decided they're tailgating every game this season. If that's the case, we'll be there with a pop-up tailgating tent, 2 small grills, plenty of food/drink, and hopefully (if I can get the resources or convince my parents they're necessary) a BG cornhole set and BG 'hillbilly horseshoes' set.
I'm not sure what time they'll plan on getting there, but I'm going to try to convince them the earlier the better.

My boy and I will be bringing an t OSU grad and his son. He went to a game in Columbus once, and he swore would never go back; so I think I can still save him with some quality BGSU tailgating and football. We should be there early (3-4 hours before gametime). I'm still looking for activities to keep the boys (both 6) entertained while we get our game faces on.
Not many things in this world can pump up a MAC football fan like seeing a MAC team take down that other conference. You just got to be there when it happens!
Looks like Joyce is tied up with her 2nd daughter's "bachelorette party" that nite, so I'll have to bring a friend instead... We also have to MISS the Homecoming game because of the wedding...and to think that the bride and groom are BOTH BG grads! ( Whatever were they thinking?)
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Finally entering my last year with the FMB. Next year I'll be setting up tents and preparing food for tailgating the night before the game outside the stadium. Road games don't have quite the same feel for tailgating as the home games do.
I have tickets for the journey concert at the same time. Why oh why did i not look at the schedule before telling someone I would go to the concert. i'm still trying to get someone else to buy my ticket. I need to go to this game!

Man, that is a quandary. I've been a big fan of Journey for a long time...I always look to see when my fave bands are touring and if they conflict with Falcon football games...I had to choose one year between BG/EMU and the Scorpions in Detroit on the same night...went with BG but it sucked to miss the concert as well.
