Down to just myself...if at all.
I think the easiest way to organize it is to pick a spot, most likely one of BG's bars. Since it sounds like we could have a good sized group, a spacious bar would help, with plenty of room to bunch tables together, or room to stand around and watch.
To advance the idea, I guess we could actually contact some local bars about getting rooms blocked off, or any kind of special deal if we bring in a group of 20 or more (which seems entirely possible at this point). I think that even with a big event like this, that with students out of town, any of the "college bars" will be happy to have such a large group PROMISED to attend. My "group" alone is going to be at least 5 or 6 people, from what I figure, and possibly more. With 4 or 5 more of ya thinking its a good idea in here in just the last couple hours, I'm sure 20 or 30 people minimum is a good start as an estimate.
If there was a surefire way to use it to raise some money for the site, too, it would be cool if the bar would advertise "the official watch party, sponsored by AZZ.com", but that might be stretching it...

Sorry to hear, Freak.
FWIW,
There will be some sort of watch party here in the Cleveland area. I emailed one of the alumni reps for the chapter and he is fairly sure there will be a watch party in Independence.
I can't go to Mobile. I have family coming into town on the 22nd. I was kinda hoping for another bowl besides the GMAC bowl for that specific reason.
Why, yes, it is all about me, why do you ask?

The Freak is not going????????
I think that I did shed a tear
When I read that the Freak was staying here
AND not traveling to the South
and watch his beloved Falcons win out
I think that a game without the Freak
will pressure the rest of us beyond ability to speak
to cheer and go nuts and cheer some more
for the one we left behind on his living room floor
Here is to the Freak and the freaklings too
We shall hoist a pint or two to you
And think of ya'll while we are there
WE are leaving you in charge- take care!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

You guys and gals are the best. O & B, I think you nailed it. I simply cannot go without the Freaklings.
I will be calling my dad tonight to see if he would be interested in going. Heck he drives to Largo, FL all at once so this won't be a big deal...if he can't do it, I think he would lend me his Chrysler van and then I would need another rider. Mrs. Freak would not be going cuz she thinks this whole thing is crazy.
I feel like an inmate trying to stave off execution.
As far as a watch party, I work til 6. That won't work either cuz the Freaklings would want me to watch the game with them...the game starts at 8pm Eastern, 7 Central. IF we don't go, we watch the game in the Falcon Nest Sports Den.
Always,
I'm very touched. *Sniff sniff*
Very creative. I'll be in Mobile in spirit either way.
Still thinking positive about going....
GO FALCONS!!! SMASH MEMPHIS!
