I heard you were getting in Mobile Tuesday night. What time will you be getting to town?? If there's any way you can get to Mobile, check in the room and be downtown around 5:30 for the parade, I strongly suggest it. Your boy would love it, as well as you. I know I've plugged a lot of activities, but this is the BEST part of the bowl week... aside from the Bowling Green victory. Try to make it happen if you can, and take a cab from the hotel to downtown. Just call a cab ahead of time. Here's some numbers... keep these handy.

Hey 87Alum
Mobile:
You are awesome!
We should be there in plenty of time. Our flight arrives in New Orleans around 12:30 and I'm told the drive is about 2.5 hours. That should give us time to get settled in before heading to the parade.
Should we NOT drive downtown? Will we be able to get a cab after everything is done?

Parking for Parade
Hey Alum, this is what I always do for parades. Park at the Riverview Plaza, which is right in the middle of the pep/rallys/parade route/ Dauphin Street etc. You can pay $5 and park in the parking deck which is very safe and conveinant. Here are the directions from your hotel.
1: Start out going EAST on SPRINGHILL AVE. 0.1 miles Map
2: Merge onto I-65 N via the ramp on the LEFT. 3.8 miles Map
3: Merge onto I-165 S via EXIT 9 toward PRICHARD/DOWNTOWN MOBILE. 4.9 miles Map
4: I-165 S becomes N WATER ST. 0.7 miles Map
5: End at 64 S WATER ST MOBILE AL Map
Total Est. Time: 13 minutes Total Est. Distance: 9.73 miles
When you take Exit 9, just stay in the right lane. Once you get on Water Street, make sure you are in the right lane, and the parking garage will be on your right. It kind of sneaks up on you. I suggest getting there around 5:30 to beat the traffic and walk around. When you get into the parking deck, head away from Water Street. The back of the parking deck will open onto the parade route. You'll have a blast. Also, do you mind sharing this info with other BG fans? Thanks
