We deserved better.

BG never seemed to be in this. Did they believe their press clippings?

I mean, I talk people I teach with at BG into coming to a game and this is what we get?

And it taks two hours to get out of the parking lot?

Remind me again why GB makes five times more than your average professor?

That was no fun at all. Wake me up when we're down a hundred in the bowl game.

Disappointed...

I dont know what game you were watching. We were in this game until the very end when we had some costly turnovers at the end. It is football, one week you can be the highest of the highs and the next you can be the lowest of the lows and very sad. I understand disappointment, but dont act like this game was like the GMAC bowl. Minnesota is a MUCH improved team from last year. Its not like we lost to an inferior opponent. This is what makes me very angry about SOME Falcon fans. They are either die hards or fair weather fans like you.

It seems that Brandon has figured out how to be an underdog, but once his team gets some attention it seems like they can never refocus after an upset. Clearly, CB should have his job back and I say that not only because of the fumbling of Geter, but he provides two things this team lacks. He provide a little POWER something we rarely see and he provides character considering he has never complained about losing his job after his freshman year he has simply continued to work. He deserve to be the starter.

Also I have a hard time believing that there is any reason AT should not touch the ball 15 times a game, the kid might not have a position but when he gets the ball the offense moves. Lastly special teams needs lot of work. That being said if you told me we would be 2-2 out of conference I would be thrilled (Although the MAC seems a bit tougher after watching OU and NIU, and Buffalo play).2-2 should be the goal and if we can pull a miracle at BSU this board will have a totally different feel than it does today...

PS. Professor Jackson loved ya as a professor, but your lecture on Canadian government isn't drawing 30,000 people.

:)
Obviously, but give it to the guy, he was funny as hell.......it's not like Canadian Government is the most thrilling story ever told.

Count me as a die hard....as die hard as they come. I was very disappointed we lost the game but 5 TO's will kill any team...especially playing a BiG Ten team. And I agree...MN is a much improved team this year. Sure it would have been a blast to see BG pull that one out...too many mistakes.

Nothing will stop me from standing behind the team....not a thing.

GO FALCONS!!! BEAT BSU!

The game was lost when the Gophers converted that 3rd and 9 on a "wing and a prayer" of a throw after the bad shot gun snap with 2 Falcons in the QB's face. That was the game. They fail on that play and we have the ball after a punt --down 4 --and a ton of momentum with 13 minutes left in the game.
I completely agree. It seemed as the defense surrendered after that play. If we dont let them convert on that whacky play, we get the ball back down 4 with a ton of momentum. We go down and score to take the lead, there would have been no way the defense and the crowd would let us relinquish that. Playing from behind all night, as I stood in the student section, the fanes were just waiting for a huge play to get the back into the game. I told bgsufalcon24 all night that if we were able to get the lead late, that we would get the W because minny would know what to do when they got down with the BG defense getting amped, and the crowded getting into it. Yeah the turnovers hurt but it was still 21-17 in the fourth when we had a -3 turnover margin and the time of that 3rd down miracle by Minny. We stop that...We win, IMO.

We were also down 4 when we had 3rd and 1 at about our 40 with about 5 minutes to go in the 3rd. They called a pass play, incomplete, we punt.

RUN the ball in those situations!! If you get 1/2 a yard, do it again. If the Big 'uns can't maul for a yard-a-play you don't deserve to win.

For all the really crafty stuff the coaches have done, remember that x's and o's only count for so much because football games are won by very angry people.
There is no other way to finish a season other than yelling at the top of your lungs among BG's players holding the Peace Pipe aloft!
