Minny Dissed!

Post by buffaloefalcon »

Well another semi-slam on BG. We did get a little positive mention though. This article makes me want to go for Minny for the rest of the season just to prove that they're not that bad. We just beat ourselves.

Hey I was just going to come back and wish you guys good luck in the MAC.

Then I saw this poster--who dissed US in a thread about other dissing us. Surprised Minney doesnt have any respect at all here. Last I checked BG never had the lead in a home game with arguably their biggest crowd ever.

Adam Weber passed at will (completed 84% of his passes).

TO's were a big deal--but making it sound like we undeservedly won and you just handed the ball to us is pretty homeristic.

Just had to get that off my chest...

Good luck Falcons I am rooting for you to win the MAC and meet us for revenge in a bowl game (if we hopefully get to one). You played Boise pretty well, and they destroyed Oregon, so your OOC scheduling looks very solid right now.

Good luck, and stay injury free.

Boy, when Minnie reads this, she's gonna be p***ed.

Uh-oh. Too late.

##Gopher: "arguably their biggest crowd EVER?" HARDLY; doesn't come close to the 33K + crowds vs. Toledo and the 31K+ crowd vs. NIU of a few years ago.

Don't think there's too many people on this board who AREN'T rooting for you guys this week in Columbus... I'd love to see you stuff that team. But it does appear that they may be getting Wells back. Coupled with Pryor, that's going to be a tough task...but .... GO GOPHERS!

I don't think so. Troy and Ohio both kept the game close. Wells may be back, but Pryor will have growing pains at QB. Good luck. Hope you guys win.

I would be really surprised if Minny gets creamed this weekend. If they don't win, I fell it'll be a close game, IMO. Like the previous post stated, Pryor still has some growing pains to deal with. Anyways, good luck this weekend Gophers.

Thanks Stpaulgoph...I think MN is a much better team than they're getting credit. A NE OH football publication at McDonalds questioned how BG beat Pitt only to get plastered at home by an "awful" MN bunch. Those are the words I read and man, I was pissed.

You have a great season....and I do hope we can get a rematch in a bowl game. Good luck this weekend...The Bucks are ripe for the pickin'.

Arguably not even close to our biggest crowd ever!

Somebody dazzle him with our top 5 highest attendence totals. I'm not a fact guy!

May not be much to most, but I'm proud of them. Considering that Minny has more students than our highest attended game ever.

Off the top of my head...

2000 BG/Michigan - over 110,000
2003 BG/OSU - Over 104,000
2006...what? Oh, our HOME crowds? Sorry about that. :-D

I think I have the top 4 at least...

1983 BG/UT - 33,000+
2003 BG/NIU -31,007
2003 BG/UT - 29,700 or so
1985 BG/UT - 28,000+

Without looking in the media guide, I don't know #5. Paging TG...

I think you've done pretty good there, though I seem to think there was a Miami(OH) game that snuck in that list somewhere (probably from '85).

Without looking at a media guide, of course....

EDIT: After checking a media guide...

83 UT - 33527
03 NIU - 31007
03 UT - 29724
93 UT - 29210
85 UT - 28110

Pretty close guesses, Freak!
