Any thoughts to how many pages we're going to open in the play book that we never got to see this year?
Let the Memphis fans spend some time over the next two weeks pondering the roster trying to figure out what a Pope to Magner to Jacobs means. "Hey Willie Bob, thar' talkin about throwin' to Omar I thought he was the quarterback"
Hopefully the two deep on D is getting lots of work...we need to stay pretty fresh for 60 full minutes out there.
Good luck Omen: The son is undefeated when I bring him...9-0 regular season, dating back a few years with a come from behind at Akron. 1-0 in Bowls.
Basketball on Grass
Let them wonder...
...but lets spend more time teaching them what "Jacobs to Sharon/Magner/Sanders/Hawkins/McGrady(?)" is all about. For all four quarters this time. And as much as I hate hate hate that "direct snap" formation to Pope, if its working, lets clear the tracks for the Pope train. We were a great second half away from spending January-August second guessing the Magner throwback INT in the MCB.
Trickery is fun, but winning ball games beats it by a mile.

Look for some clues about Memphis by looking at the Cincinnati game they played and lost. Time of possession is key, and expect us to toss 2x the amount of passing yards....
But when Memphis gets down in a hurry it doesn't look like they have much fight in them....and 21 points in the first quarter usually isn't a stretch for us. That and it takes them out of a run-oriented offense.

It's falconspeak for "incomplete."JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:Let the Memphis fans spend some time over the next two weeks pondering the roster trying to figure out what a Pope to Magner to Jacobs means.
I'd prefer "Pope to Endzone," or "Jacobs to WR to endzone."
