Many students take an extended Thanksgiving Break

When I taught Freshman Orientation in NC, I always scheduled a quiz on the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break.
Well then, I certainly hope that they would ditching out in order to see our Falcons whip some OSwho azz in basketball on 11/25. :-D

On a completely separate note, I seriously have to wonder how many of our students have been to all 4 of our home games thus far, and will make it 5 for 5 on Friday. It can't be more than 1000. I figure I have at least a .1% chance of winning the $500 attendance bonus.

Maybe I can make a Friday parlay by winning the Falcon Club 50/50 too.

My brother (UTRocketMan) got something through the Boyscouts about camping out on the field the night after the game.

No fires and no tent stakes.

Not sure about the marketing thought there. May be even too cold for me to spend the night in a tent on DP field.

I am also not comfortable with a UT fan (even my brother) sleeping on our field. Tailgaiting, is one thing, but I draw the line here.
The Mudhens do a similar promotion with the scouts a couple of times a year.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

How are they going to know, from when the swipe the ID? It's definitely less than 1,000. It's gotten to the point this year that I recognize the faces in the first couple of rows because no one else ever shows up.

I'm a student who's been to every home football game. Then again, I'm in the band ;)
