If you do a good job yourself (for example – win), the crowds sizes will take care of your concerns.
I thought this was a very thoughtful post.

Coach Brandon may be standing firm. So am I. I'm still annoyed.

I think the idea of protesting by not buying tickets or whatever is counter productive. I'll buy my season tickets next year, just as I did this year and last year. In fact, making that purchase is probably more important than whether or not I actually choose to use the tickets.

But here's the thing: My next season ticket purchase will be a little more joyless. I'll buy them because I'm loyal like that -- not because I'm excited.

And that's the thing. Most of this joy of this season was wrung out of it well before Friday.

Coach Brandon can say this was a game with championship implications. But fans aren't stupid. Really, they aren't. This wasn't *just* a .500 team. It was a .500 team with a loss to Eastern freaking Michigan. And Miami. And so on. Over the course of this season, this Falcon team seemed to do everything in its power to back into that championship opportunity.

Never, in fact, has a Falcon team with so much talent seemed to do so little. That's my view. How do you beat Pittsburgh and lose to Eastern Michigan? How? It's the riddle of this season -- and, perhaps, the entire Brandon era.

In my opinion, there are very few places where Gregg Brandon could put up the same records he has against the same caliber of opposition and not be looking at least some empty seats. Because fans aren't stupid.

And, just as he doesn't appreciate having fans call for his head on this board every time he loses a game, I didn't appreciate being called out Friday night as I listened to the radio.

I'm one of the best fans he's got.

I'm as big a supporter of GB as you'll find and even I'm at a loss...the original coimments were bad enough, but the refusal to backtrack and make some sort of conciliatory gesture towards the alumni, students and the band (..leaving the field beofre the alma mater was played was disgraceful...) is mind bottling.

Does he want to coach here? Has he...or someone else..made that decision already so he's just taking a big ol' piss on us on his way out?

I hate to think it is a conspiracy like that, but maybe he has been contacted by someone and is trying to get fired so he can get the buy-out money and the higher salary at the new gig? But who would want a coach that does something like this?

You're correct RWT, but it also seems some obvious that maybe it is brilliant!
