Yes
Further, the MCB has had EXCELLENT crowds over its history...including theBG-NW game...Not positive, but I think the CMU-Purdue game last year drew about 55K.
This bowl has actually outdrawn many of the "better name" bowls during its history.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
This game was always to be MAC vs Big Ten. The year they had Middle Tenn. took some of the hype away from it. Mac fans love to see their teams pitted against the Big Ten and the MCB is a great way to let that happen. When the MAC team wins, it also incicates to several high school prospects the Big Ten is not the only conference in the region worthy of playing good football. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MAC TEAM!!
There is a 40 foot in uniform flag/poster of CMU's QB featured outside Ford Field. It has been in place for about two months. Was there ever any doubt CMU would be in the MCB?

It was there in August when I went to a Lions pre-season game.
And even though this game was always SUPPOSED to be MAC-vs-Big10 it really hasn't played out that way too often. In fact the year that we played Northwestern was the first time it had ever been MAC-vs-Big 10. Last year Purdue and CMU was only the 2nd time in the 11 year history that it worked out that way.

Uh, why did you go to a Lions preseason game? And, why did you just admit to it?
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

1. They played the Browns, and I'm a moron Browns fan. I didn't get tickets to any regular season games this year, so I got tickets to that one for like $7 each.
2. A buddy of mine had an "in" to one of the luxury suites, so once we got into the game for $7 each, we also got into the luxury suites with free beer, food, pop, etc.
It was actually quite hilarious because that game made the Lions 3-0 in the preseason and my Lions fan buddies were going nuts about how great they were going to be this year
