fyi...espn.
Their OC is a familiar name, too. Mike Faragalli was the OC under Blackney twice. Hmmm....NY-BG-FAN wrote:Richmond's offense looks pretty good...certainly creative. It looks like Clawson left them in pretty good shape.

Mike Faragalli note
what a pleasure it was to see in this post the reference to Mike Faragalli as the OC for Richmond (1st year there). I did not know he was there! Mike recruited me back in 1991 and was the big reason for GB's (first GB - not the second) success. He came right from the Canadian Football League - which was "pass happy" - and utilized it into our offense.
the key was he had the same players Ankney had the year before - but he styled the offense to the players/talent he had. 3-5-2 in Ankney's last season the year before - 1991, the Fightin' Falcons went 11-1 with the same offensive weapons. Again - he coached his offense with the talent he had. SOUND FAMILIAR?
I am super excited to see what DC brings to the table. Roll Along brethren.
**thanks again for the update about Faragalli - was a class act while @ BG.

If that's possible.
I was impressed that I remembered at all. I figured I had just heard his name somewhere and associated it with BG. But to be right? Again? Whoa.
Though he's only been at Richmond for a year, so he has no overlap with Clawson, other than what an AD or fellow coaches may recommend. One interesting note I saw from their coaching staff, their WR coach has been there five years and is their NE Ohio/Western PA (along with other parts of the midwest) recruiter. He's a younger guy and I don't know how good he is, but it jumped out at me.
