was Wyoming's idea. Didn't it have to do with some ball-up by the MAC? I think UW was perfectly willing to come to Bowling Green, but something fouled up the scheduling. It was BGSU that had to find Wyoming a place to play on Oct. 3, which is why the Pokes are now going to Boca Raton, FL to take on the FAU Owls.[/quote]

DCP,
You're right (unfortunately) that the MAC screwed up, specifically Miami this time I believe, as they dropped a HOME game with Colorado to play Kentucky. Logically, the KY game SHOULD draw more folks due to proximity, but it left the Buffs hanging...they then worked out a deal with the MAC whereby, they would come to TOLEDO to play, and BOISE, scheduled to play UT, then switched to BG...(same airport, same travel for Boise)... NONE of this would've worked, if FAU didn't have an open date looking to be filled... so you get a true warm weather date for a game...at least that's something.
(BTW, a few yrs ago, it was Ohio U, I believe, who screwed up, causing ultimately for BG to lose a home game with Boise.)
I for one would like to see your "POKES" come here to play in near future...it's always fun to see new teams, new styles etc. come into town.

Why is BG always coming out on the short end when MAC teams have a scheduling mix up. Don't say we get Boise this year, because we would have gotten them a few years down the road. Now we lose a home game with Wyoming, and have no guarantee of getting a home game with them in return. Toledo makes out on the deal, they get to keep their home and home with Boise and get a home date with Colorado. F...ing MAC.

I heard after last season, they decided to drop down to D1AA, but due to being in the same league as App.St. was too daunting, they decided to drop down to D2. =Dmurphdogg wrote:If only.......San Fran Falcon wrote:Michigan is coming to the Doyt this year though, right?
