I don't get it. Marijuana isn't a performance enhancing drug. It enchances many things, but athletic performance certainly isn't one of them.Flipper wrote:Then Diaz must be an idiot because he had the highest profile win of his career..a win over Takanori GOmi at Pride 33... overturned by the Nevada State Athletic commission because he failed a drug test for pot.

Most sanctioning bodies ban marijuana and other "social drugs"...it seems to be a moral issue.
Robbie Lawler?.......piffle. It's difficult to compare fighters who occupy weight classes that far apart (Lawler fights at 185 now and Gomi is still at 155) but Gomi was the MAN in Pride. He's had a rough year or so, but he dominated some stiff competition in Japan. At one point Gomi was considered to be the top 155lb fighter in the world
Lawler has yet to show that level of dominance against quality competition and I don't think there's been a time when he's been considered the top fighter at 170 or 185...he sure as hell won't be the top guy at 185 as long as Anderson Silva is around.
