Spring Game - Need a new BG coat?

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Yo everyone,

Remember those BG coats at Steve & Barry's you could get for, what, $8-10? Well, late one night I was surfing Ebay and ran across something that made my jaw drop. A dude in Berea posted on Ebay he had SIX CASES of these BG coats, each case containing adult sizes Small thru XXXL. And, there were 14 coats in each case. So, I contacted Falcon Fanatic and we bought 4 cases...2 each. You should have seen it...I met this dude at a McDonald's in Brunswick, gave him the money he was asking and loaded the cases into my Honda...if a cop had been going by, he probably would have thought we were dealing narcotics or something. This dude got them from the S & B in Great Northern Mall. Said he had 3 cases of Alabama coats, too.

I've gone thru my cases and pulled out 4 or 5 coats to set up the Freaks for the next 10 years. We have 4 already but they wear out. My parents and sister have bought a few as well. By my estimate, I have 18 or so left....make that 17 as Grant's new baby girl, Andersyn, has a small spoken for. :-D Don't know how many FF will be keeping from her cases. We will have these coats at the spring game for $5 each. If you want one, PM Falcon Fanatic or me. When they're all spoken for, well, I can get you an Alabama coat. LOL.

This is for real...Mrs. Freak couldn't believe we had 56 BG coats in the basement when I got home. Talk about next best thing to Heaven.

We will be in the usual tailgating spot on the 25th...I want to be there by 11:30 or 12, at the latest.

We love those coats (thx, G!). They aren't very durable, but they are still awesome and well worth it!

Freak....Do you have a picture of the coat? I might be in for one. If I like it, I'll pay for shipping and handling.

I bought four, just before the store closed, and all of them are ripped already.

I need some orange and brown duck tape to fix them.

Sad really. The tears aside, they are very comfy and warm.

I'm pondering how to remove the big embroidered logo off the backs.

Nathan: I already have Mrs. 87 figuring out how to use the awesome patches once the jackets are reduced to shreds! Luckily, she's a master seamstress.

So are these the heavy leather like jackets S & B had? I believe they also had a sweatshrit lined brown windbreaker. I managed to get ahold of the winter coats last fall but was unable to get the windbreaker. True they're not the highest quality, but for the price they're really hard to beat.

SFF and Goofey,

You can go on Ebay and see a few on there now...these aren't leather and won't last but a few years but they sold in S&B's for $8.

They look something like this ...

Image

The front is not the pleather-like material, more of a faux wool. The front features the Space Ghost Falcon with BGSU under the logo.

Again, extremely sharp. And the patches are incredible.

OK...Here are the folks I have for coats so far. If I am missing somebody, please let me know. If what I have you down for isn't correct, let me know.

MarkL - Large
It's the Journey - Large
Class of 61 and Joyce - XXL and either a Medium or Large.
bgsufan - 2 XXL
Great Wizard of AZZ.com, our hero, Grant - 1 Small and 2 XL's.

If my math is correct after going thru what's still there, here's what I have left:

1 Medium
2 Large
2 XL
2 XXXL

I have no Smalls or XXL left.

'87,
Thanks for the pic and help!

GO FALCONS

***Update****

The M and 2 L are spoken for...I have 2 XL and 2XXXL left...I think. :-D
