Time Warner Cable Tailgating Contest

Post by BGorDeath »

Time Warner Cable is having a contest on our Local On Demand channel to see who has the best tailgating traditions. You could win $1000. All you have to do is send in a 2-5 minute video of your favorite “game day tradition.”

Here is a link on how to enter:

Here are some promos that will be running in support of the contest:

Helmet Guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kCGPUagBm8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Cookout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vje_dwZoJ2E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Now, please keep in mind that this is not a contest to see who can get the most drunk (yes, that is you Hammb and Freak).

I know that alot of you do some cool things at the games and here is your chance to cash in.

If you have questions, let me know.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

In fairness, there are tequila worms that don't get as drunk as you on gameday. :-D

Hambb,

What about doing a feature on the "annual?" Fishfry tailgate? Got to believe this is somewhat unique to BG. How many other schools could feature Lake Erie PERCH as the main dish? And we could bring along a few fishing rods for props. :D

Since hammb is making his rum soaked cherries again...maybe THAT could be considered one of our traditions! That means that he MUST bring them to ALL tailgates so that it really IS an AZZ tailgate tradition!! :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hmmm...rum soaked cherries at EVERY tailgate?

That could come back to haunt me!

Fish was a great once a year tradition for a few years, but I don't think we did it at all last year, did we? My deep fryer burner is toast...I need a new one. The fish is awesome, but it's completely reliant on my grandfather. He's the one that fishes all summer long. Problem might be this year he had back surgery and hasn't gotten out much. Whether we can do fish again will depend on what he has in his freezer, and his willingness to share it.

I'll have to talk to him about it sometime. If he's got the fish he's usually more than willing to share it. He loves hosting fish fries.
