Rivals 3-star QB Trent Hurley verbals to BG

Post by BGSU33 »

My friend who covers Pitt and works for Rivals had nothing but great things to say about Trent Hurley. He said Hurley camped at Pitt, Rutgers and Louisville and felt he should have gotten more offers in his opinion. He also said Hurley is a good kid and a hard worker and that he felt the BG coaches were loyal to him all along. He said Hurley waited and wanted a BCS offer but that he (with the help of his dad) made the decision about BG. He also said he thinks Hurley will be a steal for BG. Sounds like a good fit on both sides. I'm glad he chose BG!

This is shaping up to be our best class in years. There are some big-time, highly touted players that have gotten on board.

You're lucky it's not my finger.

Looks like another pro-style qb we're going after. I kinda welcome the change. Hopefully we'll get some qb's that can actually feel the pocket and throw more accurately DOWN FIELD instead of trying to always scamper around. We've had athletic qb's in the past but never have had really accurate ones that could throw down field since Omar Jacobs. The things I'm hearing from the players audio and such about play-action passes are exciting me more and more. I'm anxious to see how we look this season.

fb,
You've done it again! Another great observation on your part... try taking a look at the incumbent QB's stats from last year, INCLUDING completion %tage. Not sure what "felling" the pocket means, but we sure do SCAMPER!!! :axe:

We are definitely going to have size at qb next year. I am hoping to see size through the middle of the D as well. Nose, the Mike, and SS should be 300+/240/210. I dont think we have ever pulled that off. Brandons theory of playing light and fast at these positions never worked, especially by Q4.
