Ball State Head Coach, Stan Parrish, is an outstanding recruiter. He works very hard at it.

As far as weight most coaches would like to have a 'lighter' player to enter a program so they can put on the weight. For a LB 200 to 205 is an ideal weight to enter a college program. The strength coach, and we have very good one, will put the right 'weight' on the player to play college ball.

Ball State has been signing a fairly large number of kids from Ohio since at least as far back as 2007 (although 8 out of 12 is an even higher percentage than usual). Of course, Parrish was an assistant.
