I know we are three days till gameday... but this board seems very calm compared to other years. I am wondering how everyone is feeling about this game. For me there are three keys to the game:
1. Our young "D" line getting to the quarterback and being able to contain and not lose containment. Troy is to fast for our secondary to have to cover all day.
2. Being able to convert 3rd downs... I think unlike years in the past we could out score everyone but I think we have met our match with Troy... I think ball control in the high 20's in points BG win anything over that I think Troy comes out with the win. In other words we need to stay out of a shootout.
3. Home Field: We need to take it back... New coach, New Attitude.... we need the fan to come out and support this team.
I dont know about anyone else but it feels good to be talking Falcon Football again... and not recruiting, violations, coaching problems ect.... Here is to a great season. Anybody, that want to throw their 2 cents in about the game is welcome... I am just happy to be talking Falcon Football
Go Falcons
Game Day
Re: Game Day
I think you answered your own question in regards to why this message board has been a little quiet.
So far, the coaching staff appears to be taking the right approach with the program. There have been some minor things to raise eyebrows about, but so far things have looked pretty good.
Personally, I'm just looking for some consistency within the program. I'm willing to deal with the program underperforming for the first few years. I'm just tired of the GB meltdown. Brandon had some moments of sheer brilliance, and some moments of absolute anarchy. The problem was that the moments of brilliance weren't frequent enough to cancel out the moments of anarchy. If the program demonstrates a consistent level of playing this year, I'll be happy. Obviously, I'll expect improvement next year, but at least we'll have a base line to go on in future years.
Go Falcons!
