Auction on BGFalcons.com

Post by Falcon137 »

Anyone else see the auction for the panoramic view of the Doyt vs Minnesota? In reading the description it says only 100 were produced. I would love to have one but am not willing to part with upwards of hundreds of dollars for it.

Does anyone know where I could get a similar shot to hang in my office?

I do really like that shot. The print they're selling here seems a little bigger than what I might like, but a good sized poster of that would be awesome. Even though we lost the game and there were some unfortunate aspects (mostly involving the seat cushion throwing), I still think the atmosphere for that game was really cool. Having the Doyt packed like that and seeing the students all decked out in orange and brown instead of a third of them in OSU gear was really great.

I'll be moving to a new office (again) in a few weeks and can't wait to get my 5-foot-by-1-foot panoramic of The Doyt on the wall.

Sweet!

Was watching the auction countdown, upon completion, the auction started counting up. Thought i won, and upon shooting an email to website/falcon acct GM 27 minutes later wondering what was going on, auction magically ends with a new higher bid win. I hope this wont be the trend moving forward.

To create a shot like that is not very difficult. Just find a decent DSLR camera, a panoramic lens or a fish eye adapter and you can create a shot that looks similar. I do it for the HS in my cluster that I teach at, and can make a few bucks selling them to parents.
Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, teach PE.
