You're kind of a dick, and it would have been stupid to go for it 4th and 11. AS it turned out, he made the right call since we got the ball back

:axe:

Close game...BG is close to being very good.
You could've gotten the ball back even if you didnt convert on 4th down. You gotta at least try. On the road, you go for it. At home you play safe.
Uh ... we did force a three and out, not give up too much clock time and get the ball back, right? And we didn't run out of clock, we ran out of downs. That was the right call.

It was tough, but the better team won. Once we cut down on the mistakes, fumbles deep in our own territory and went to our strength, the running game, there was no answer. Helluva job though by your team and I was nervous throughout, but I just had a feeling that Pinkel's youngest team would endure these growing pains and pull out the victory. I'm probably done for the night unless I see something outrageous that I need to respond to. Good night.

The better team won? You guys did nothing to prove that you were the better team. I agree with 30.....DICK

Both teams gave a hell of an effort. We had a Big 12 team beat for 3½ quarters but it looks like we just got wore out and weren't able to adjust on the fly. Good luck to Mizzou the rest of the way. They got some major adjustments that need done before they get to conference play.

Not bad for a team picked last in the MAC East?

Well, I mean, they did win. In my mind that's some pretty solid evidence of superiority, even if it is slight. That said, I don't think there's anything wrong with being just a tiny bit worse than Missouri. They're a solid-to-very-good team, and we just simply ran out of gas.

But "hscoach" is definitly being a dick about it.

Being a dick by saying your team did a helluva job? And yes Missouri was the better team. They made mistakes early, but when it counted they came through. Your team wore down. I can see your team competing for a conference crown and playing in a bowl game. Good luck this season. Like I said before the game, this isnt 2001 or 2002. I was worried, but I stuck by my team the whole game, even down 20-6.

Missouri is clearly the better team. From midway through the 3rd Qtr to the end of the game was complete domination. Be glad that you played Missouri this early.....this team is super young. We will be really good very soon.....

Bowling Green played a very good game, nobody got hurt....now go do well in Conference. But please don't act like you are better than Missouri. Come on.

Im sorry but you act as if this was a blowout. You guys scored with only 5min left in the game to take the lead. We could have very possibly gone down and scored to tie and win. The falcons played a hell of a game and in my opinion were playing harder than your tigers. Are d-line was going up against an O-line that was on average 40-50lbs bigger then them but we still stuck in there. This game could have gone either way buddy. If this game would have been played here today it would have been a totally different game but for bg to go to missouri and perform the way they did there is great. We had the stadium quiet for about 3 quarters man. By the way this game was the narrowist win that missouri has had at farout for along time. By the way i love your excuse that missouri is young now. Before you said missouri was gonna kill us and we had no chance. hmm.....?

Gabbert was 10/12 for 128 yards in the second half. SPECIAL! Mizzou was the better team. They just played dreadful in the first half. You had a very strong drive to start the 2nd half and MU was flawless after that. Just halftime adjustments. I said in the 3rd quarter the 2 guys that needed to touch the ball and when they did, they couldnt be stopped. Bowling Green will be very good, so will the Tigers. Gabbert sophomore, Kemp sophomore, Aldon Smith freshman, Jacquies Smith sophomore, Kendial Lawrence freshman, Ebner sophomore. All these guys were key today. The better team won, but you guys have a darn good team and nothing to be ashamed of. MU is young, but very talented and down the road, maybe not this year, they can be one of the elite teams in the country.

Ahhh yes, the usual BCS "superiority" complex emerges again.

Yes, Missouri came back and won but some of you Tiger fans need to face facts. BG went toe to toe and could have won this game. MUTiger91 was ranting all week we had NO chance in this game.

Congrats to MU on the win...and you still trail the all time series 3-2. :-D Why don't ya'll come back to the Doyt for a game again? I mean 4 of the 5 games have been in Columbia....

Again...we would murder them again.... :-)

hscoach can jabber all he wants to about Mizzou's mistakes being a factor, but had BG not faltered twice in the red zone taking FG's over TD's, we'd likely have won the game....

I think we're still the better team because we still lead the all time series...

The losing team cant say they are the better team after a loss. Thats just ridiculous. You lost. You lost fair and square, no home cooking or anything. Up until the first drive of the 2nd you played strong, but after that the better team won. MU went to its best offensive weapon instead of trying to put it on the shoulders of its young sophomore phenom in his 2nd career start. If nothing else Missouri is the better team, because their coach made the halftime adjustments on offense to win the game and Clawson's staff didnt make the necessary adjustments on the defense to defend 21 unanswered points.
