Hey all...
Hope everyone is on top of the world right now with the way our Falcons played Thursday night. It was great to see the team focused and make half time adjustments where needed.
I'm posting at my parents' house this AM. A few of you know what happened to me on the way home from the game and without going into it, let's just say it wasn't good. Due to my bad choice, we had to postpone our trip to Sanibel Island this week for another time. I'm convinced of something I knew all along but never wanted to admit. I put BG football ahead of God and my family for too long and it should NEVER be like that. My selfishness finally came to a boil within the last 24-48 hours and changes have to be made.
My wife, Dana, and boys Jake and Josh should be my top priority at all times and sometimes that wasn't the case. BG football was and for that I am truly sorry. My family is the best thing to ever happen to me and I don't want to lose them.
So, while I straighten out this mess in the coming weeks, I regret to say I don't think I'll be at any more games this year. I have tix to the Ohio, CMU, Akron and UT games so if anyone needs tix to any of those games, just let me know and I will mail them to you. The Boise State tix are going to my parents so they can take Jake and Josh to the game. Dana's friend is getting married that weekend and I will be attending the repception with her. I love the BG football team and program like few things in life but what's needed now is a BiG step back and put others first.
You all are great friends and Falcons...thanks for listening and no matter what, I'll still be following the team...bring home the MAC title and you all have a wonderful weekend. It's almost time for Josh's second game of the year and then the boys and I are heading to Atwood Lake for a couple days.
I will miss you guys like crazy...GO FALCONS!!!!

I'm with them. I'll be thinking of you and your family. We all love BG, but there are more important things than wins or losses.
Good luck, brother!

Wow...I hope everything is OK and I wish you well as you sort things out.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Mike, don't get too down on yourself and keep your head up. Things happen for a reason and you'll be better for it!
I can assure everyone else he is fine. I'm hoping his mistake doesn't turn out as bad as he's feeling it will and he can still make some more games this year. However, as a personal choice for himself, I could see him not doing so. Either way, I'm sure we will all keep you in our thoughts from the Doyt!

Freak, Falcon Fanatic called me. I'm so sorry about things but I know it will all work out. You are headed in the right direction. I'm sorry that we won't see you down here but maybe another time. Good luck and my thoughts are with you and the family.
