That was the first thing I thought when I watched it live. His knee was down before he slid into the endzone even if it was a catch. There were only 4 seconds left and I think Idaho was out of time-outs, so really they should have been down at the 1 with the clock running and 4 seconds left. It would have been impossible for them to get any play off from there. But, there were no camera angles to tell that one (at least not that I remember), so it was just easier to argue it wasn't a catch.

A) I thought the same thing about his knees, but watching again, I don't think the ball hit his body or that he had "control" until he was in the end zone.

B) It would have been a first down inside the one (it was 2nd & 10 at the 16) and they did have a timeout left, they called it before we called one for the 2 pt. conversion.

Furthermore, I would say we are better than you because we actually have to have a good season and fight for a bowl game - not handed one on a silver platter because we're in a conference with ridiculous amounts of money and too stuck up for their own good.

Quote me an example. I only remember criticizing the poor play of the team. I do not recall playing the what ifs or putting the blame on a referee like is being done in this thread.

When I get back to West Lafayette I'll take another look at the play. I've got ESPN 360 and I can take a good close look. If I see anything interesting I'll post it. From what I can tell, though, if it was incomplete and was not reversed you can blame the camera crew. All throughout the game there was a lot of sub-par camera work. Too far zoomed in, bad angles, etc. ... There were no truly good angles on that TD play, so even if there was some evidence to overturn the call, it could not have possibly been "indisputable" evidence. Because of the camera angles, the call on the field was going to be upheld and unfortunately for us, it's the call we did not want.
