Come on NIU
Come on NIU
I hope NIU can get a win for themselves and the MAC tonight. Lord knows NIU has been close but yet so far away with the bowl bids the last few years, so hopefully they'll be hungry and ready for Troy. I only saw Troy against Missouri and they looked pretty good in that game and won. But I have faith in NIU, they beat us and they do have a good team when they come to play. Good luck Huskies.

Talk about adding insult to injury. First, you get assigned to perhaps the lowest profile bowl in the worst time slot in the bowl season. Then, you get an opponent only a football junkie has heard of. Then, the game is delayed due to a power outage. Then, ESPN can't even go live until after the game starts and their generator arrives. When it rains, it pours (no pun or irony intended).

You know what? I do want the Huskie's to win....I think they deserve it, but I do have to take a bit of a selfish view on this....if they lose...that increases our chances of getting to 25th. It is still an outside chance, but wouldn't it be sweet if we could be ranked two consecutive years? With Omar's numbers and the returning players maybe that would finally create some pre-season buzz for the Falcons? That would be great for attendance...but I guess a big win at Madison would do that for sure. ::Grin::

Boy, as per my benevolence towards NIU in my other post, you are kind of making me rethink it now that you put it like that. It sure would be nice to break into the preseason polls (and with Omar, I don't care who wins, we SHOULD!!!!!).FalconKing wrote:You know what? It looked like a Time Warner broadcast of a Tiffin vs. Wooster game. Plus, the field lights weren't all on, and there were these huge shadows. For much of the first, they were using one camera from the press box.
I've been on TV crews when that happened, and its not fun. Great job to be on the air at all.
Great job to NIU, too. Congratulations. If any team has earned it and not gotten any reward at all, its NIU.
