Poll: How do you feel about Ohio State?

Post by Falcon30 »

I am curious. When I watch Ohio State, I want them to win. I used to be a big Ohio State fan when I was a kid. We lived in Columbus for a time. My dad went to Tiffin U, so Ohio State was the team we rooted for.

Now, I kinda feel about OSU like I feel about the San Diego Chargers. I like them. They are not my orange and brown, but I like them because of something in my past. Dan Fouts looked like my dad - or so I thought - my dad was a lot shorter. My grandmother also worked for Edison Middle SChool for 20+ years so there was "Edison Chargers" stuff around her house. I like the chargers. I kinda feel that nostalgia for Ohio State...

...until I talk to their fans. I almost wanted to deck a close, longtime childhood friend of mine who attended OSU when college football came up last year...

anyhow, I was just curious how y'all felt.

I grew up not liking OSU at all, and after 7 or so years living in Columbus, I like their fans (for the most part) even less. But I've become increasingly apathetic to how they do, win or lose, and am also in the group that believes unless they're grabbing our recruits or we're on their schedule that they don't need to be a regular topic on a BGSU board.

Incidentally, my dad went to Tiffin U. (the original "TU"! ) also. Graduated in '71. Small world, huh?

Wow - My dad finished (I think ) in 1968...you should ask him if he knew Larry Willis or Diane Williams.

Go Dragons :)

Will do, though I think he drops in here now and again, so he may have an answer for me before I can ask.

And c'mon now, I'm getting tired of all the Tiffin University fans coming on here running their mouth about their program. The Tiffin boards are down the hall and to the left.
