Why I will go to all the games the rest of the year....

Post by falconfan1 »

Because BGSU is my school, this year's football team is my team and I support them- as students, players, coaches etc.

Period. I go.

You don't walk away when you lose three games on the last snap and play like crap in two other games. And lose on the road to Tulsa and UM in two others.

You walk in.

If you can.

It's not being namby pamby or looking thru orange colored glasses. We knew we were young (even where we had "old" guys), we've had a crazy set of crippling injuries and we were rebuilding this year- do you think switching two DL's to OL is because we just felt like it or because our previous group had left us with not enough quality OL in three recruiting classes? Our coach has ONE recruiting class available to play plus BooBoo, T Beck and a couple others.

And BooBoo and T Beck etc can play. So we will get better over the course of a couple seasons in my opinion.

Doesn't mean I will like all the play calls I see etc. Might not. But I will be there for the team.

Go Falcons!

Anybody who goes to ANY Falcon games (except the UT game!) is crazy as a loon but I can certainly appreciate your loyalty. I think its easy to say what have you done for me lately and walk away- as for me I pay almost ) attention to the "Game Atmosphere" or whatever- I like the band, I laugh at little kids falling down trying to kick field goals or whatever but none of that matters and I wouldn't miss it if it was gone or find it annoying if it was overdone -I'm there for the game, not the sound system or announcers. When other stuff is going on I'm talking to the other fans about the game. Good call FF1!

I will be there as well! Haven't missed a game since I started buying season tickets about 4 years ago. Prior to that I was working EVERY Saturday in fall. Otherwise I'd have a much more impressive streak! Regardless of the number of wins we have, I'm a Falcon now and forever.

I always thought discussions about how people choose to spend their money was kind of tacky?

FALCONS FOREVER!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

BGSU is it...the Falcons are my (and our) team. I buy season tix every year to support the program. Years like this happen...to ALL teams. I stick with them feast or famine and always will.

Great post ff1...we all have orange and brown blood otherwise we wouldn't be here 22 hours a day.

GO FALCON FOOTBALL....BEAT CMU.

Agreed.

Everybody on this site is obviously a fan with a vested interest in the outcome of BG football/athletics. They can spend their time/money how they wish.

I've never understood the pointing and name calling about who is and isn't a "real fan". The stuff pops up on every sports message board I've ever visited, but I still don't get it.

Not to mention that the marketing department, if it is worth anything at all, needs to hear opinions from everyone, bad and good.

Besides, I never said anywhere that I don't support BGSU or the sports teams. I'm just embarrassed by the tacky game production lately. We are better than this and can do better.

What has been happening lately reminds me of a few years ago when they handed out cards with all these supposed new traditions on them...like printing something on a card makes it a tradition. It was a lousy idea and failed miserably and quickly.

Good post Falcon Fan. I'll be at both of the remaining home games, and I'll be there next year too.
