A reminder about Scott Mruzckowski

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Scott will be playing in the East/West Shrine Game this Saturday, 1/15 in San Francisco. Game is on ESPN but I don't remember the time.

Knock em' dead, Scott!

Now, will he be wearing the Old style or the New Style or will it be that other thing or will it be something entirely different . . . . .??

Sorry but, changing uniforms for every new fashion trend and revising Logos and trying to change our 'Colors' just doesn't do it for me.

Chasing fashion trends just makes you 'outdated' when the next new trend appears. And the way the higher up's talk, we can't afford the $$$ to keep up with the 'jones'.

How can we achieve any 'brand' recoginization when we look different every couple of years?

I don't think the biggies change up often, they may tweak here and there.
How about Mich's Helmets, Penn States ugly informs, etc. They stay and are part of the history of the programs. And have easy recogination.

I say find a good traditional look and keep with it.

Sorry for the rant.

Good Luck SCOTT We'll all be watching you.

GO FALCONS!!

Wow! I think Falcon Commander wins today's "Most Off-Topic" award! 8)

Now, be honest FC. You don't really have any strong convictions about our uniforms now, do you?

Good luck Scott!!! Go knock some heads around!

If someone could post a time for the game I would appreciate it. Oh, and does anyone know if he might be starting?

I didn't catch most of the game, cause I was working, but got to the volume when I saw a closeup of Scott on the screen. They were laughing at how Joe Tiller passed on him in recruiting, despite coaching his big brother, but how Tiller finally got a chance to coach him. (Though I didn't hear if they mentioned it wasn't the first time Tiller and Mruczkowski were on the same field together  )

They also said something about his footwork, but I didn't hear enough of that part to know if it was a good or a bad thing.

I saw some of it. I saw the part where they talked about tiller. then i saw the part where the o-line from east had the camera's attention on the sideline. Scott definitely looked pumped to be there cuz i heard more "BG" than any other school name.

During an interview of the lineman, Scott was standing behind the seated starters with the falcon of his helmet in camera view most of the interview. I have to admit, I like the new helmet better up close, but from a distance the logo isn't noticeable.

Anyway, Scott did good and should have had more playtime. On one play I saw, he and Illinois guard made a huge hole for the RB to make a big gain. And he got some good coverage when they spoke about Tiller. It should have been good for recruiting.
One thing that struck me as odd: during the interview, Scott was standing beside UT's Kaczur. I really thought Scott was bigger, even though Kaczur is listed as taller and heavier. Then again, I'm sure UT listed K as running a 4.28 40. He would win the butt ugly contest though.
