doc wrote:My son is one of the recruits who signed with BG last Wednesday. Based on what I saw and heard during the recruiting process, you have every reason to be excited about the future of this program. The coaches are an impressive group...intelligent, honest, and incredibly hard working. They have a plan and are well on the way towards executing it. Approximately 30 players have left the program, or have been asked to leave, since the last coaching change for reasons you know better than I. It would take any school in the country time to recover from that amount of turnover.
My son was recruited by schools from coast to coast. I can tell you that no coaches in America work harder or are more trustworthy than the BG coaches. While most schools send form letters, the BG coaches take time to write hand-written notes. There were several weeks when my son received hand-written notes from the entire staff, which made a huge impression on us. I could send an email at 10:30 PM with a question for the coach recruiting my son and he would reply quickly. Nobody outworks these guys. The team might still be a couple of years away from the type of success we would all like to see because of the youth, but I can assure you that this staff will get it done.
Thanks for that post, Doc, and welcome. Good to hear the coaching staff works their azzez off to get the best players and students. Looking forward to meeting you in the future.

Didn't Marc get a tattoo for that brat?

Doc: No BS on this board we tell it like it is. There a reason 30 players have left. Be careful your son maybe next. don't get involved up in all the hype Send use a hand written letter and i"ll back off these coach's
Rewington: I know more than you think. After a year at Virginia were did GB end up before he went to the cowboys. Turn my post off thats fine most chickens put their head in the sand and say the sky is falling. Head coach Vegas of the WFL. Took a huge pay cut to put up 53 points against BGthis fall
To answer the question: Yep, I'm really excited about the future of BG football. In light of the turnaround Miami had this past season, there is no reason to think BG can't have a great season coming off of a poor one. And to bgdodgeball4 and Doc, welcome aboard.
Doc: Great having you here! Thanks for the insight on the enthusiasm and hard work of the coaching staff.
Birdman: You're a Toledo fan just trying to piss off BG fans / scare away recruits / scare away parents. Scare yourself away. But I sincerely hope you do not get banned. You're the type of person that just needs attention, so if Birdman gets banned, then suddenly we'll have some poster named rollingalong or falconfaithful posting the same spam birdman is right now.
Gregg Brandon: Congrats on the new job! I wish you all the best at Wyoming.

You may all now return to your daily lives.
Welcome aboard doc...hope your son enjoys his time at BG as much as I did mine...
I'm beginning to think that birdman is connected to a former player recruited by GB who washed out. Bitterness can be a hard emotion to let go of...it's so easy to blame failure on others
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Very excited about the future of BG football and I really like the fact we brought in 2 *** WR's to go along with Jordan next year, also liked that we brought in some big boys.
Thanks, all. You are welcome to criticize my son if warranted. Chances are he will have already heard it from me since I've been his harshest critic and biggest supporter for years. I don't tend to sugarcoat anything when assessing his performance, good or bad (there's a LOT more good than bad). By the way, I've been reading this board for several months now, so I'm familiar with Birdman.
