Pagel and Pankratz were not going to win the job, probably would not have a chance at #2 with Hurley in the wings. QBs are very competitive and more than any other position seem to be willing to make a program move for playing time. Most of these players were studs K-12 and landing in a D-1 program typically marks a change from their prior dominance. I am by no means a Clawson fan but he is not to blame here.
