Birdman, Should he stay or fly away?
Birdman, Should he stay or fly away?
Were is the sense of now. Leaders have to step up and take charge on the football team. I'm getting replies from people who say stay away leave use alone, I won't respond to your post. fine, who cares? You remind me of a heavy weight fighter who has just lost all 10 rounds and ask the referee " where is he I can win? Why do I go to practice and write bad things? The problem is I am very upset about the NON hire of Beckman and the staff who has Toledo heading in the right direction and here we are. The coaching staffs job is to make a average player great and the team as a whole believe they can walk on water. I don't see it in this coach. All his career has been average at best. He had a couple of good years but has more losses than wins as a head coach. When was the last time the falcons were a favorite in a football? When Lincoln posed for the penny. Bookworns this is football not band practice. Man up and take charge and stop laying down. Get mad and yell I'm mad as hell and won't take it anymore. No birdman we can't say that. Someone might think we really mean it. I thought I might lite a fire and get someone behind the team for support. I was wrong. We are in hell right now. WE ARE SO LOW WE HAVE TO LOOK UP TO SEE BOTTOM. I may just fly away and go back to mother.

Birds usually do fly. The only that I can think of that don't are Penguins and the extinct Dodo bird. Chickens don't really fly either. Are they considered birds or do those that get eaten quite often fall into a poultry category? I'm not much of an Avian expert so I just needed some clarification. As for Birdman, that was a super hero from some decade past. I don't think he could really fly, could he? That one character from Watchmen was a bird but he was just a guy.

Shouldn't birdman be upset with Beckman instead? After all, we did ask Beckman if he was interested in the position and he turned us down. I KNOW! Can you believe he turned US down? What arrogance.birdman wrote: The problem is I am very upset about the NON hire of Beckman....
Something fishy going on here.
birdMAN
BeckMAN
Is birdman really Timmy in disguise? Conspiracy theorists would like an answer.

Beckman was asked if he was interested in interviewing for the BG opening and he declined the opportunity. You don't offer the job to someone who is not interested in it.birdman wrote:transfertobg: Why would Beckman turn down the BG job if it were offered?

I don't get the fascination with Beckman...Clawson went to a bowl and lost due to a late defensive lapse....Beckman's gone to a bowl and lost on a late defensive lapse. Beckman had a rebuilding year..Clawson's had a rebuilding year. Seems to me they're going onto 2011 with fairly similar resumes.
On the plus side for both coaches..they've done a great job cleaning up the academic issues left by their predecessors and they've clamped down on the off field nonsense that marred their repsective programs. I think fans of both teams should take some pride in that...
