Those were painful to look at. Were they supposed to be representing themselves as all having multiple personality disorder?

You know, looking at only one side of them, I didn't think they were that bad. I like how the jersey shoulder matched the helmet.

BUT, my God, the contrast between the two sides, especially when looking at a helment straight on, was enough to give you a headache after watching for too long.

Yeah the white and red side of the helmet I liked, but man the yellow and black side was hard to look at

I dunno ... I enjoyed the new uniforms. Don't know that I'd like to see them every week, but I like to see teams mix it up.

And I'm for just about any helmet that isn't just a word or letter on the side.

You're in luck! I read something today that Maryland has 32 new uniforms to show off this year.

The new unis were great as marketing special events. Recruits love this kind of in your face shock and awe on the field. Its also great to see the school colors and logos presented with such creativity. We have seen Nike and UA, Addidas will have to step up as well. I think a Combat type of special uni for BG could look totally awesome.

Meh. Notre Dame looks plain. And if you're going to do Michigan with something dramatic, you HAVE to do something crazy with the helmet.

I'm with Karl...I really liked the Maryland uniforms and they definitely grew on me after the initial shock of seeing such contrast on a helmet and uniform. The way that they were designed to represent the state of Maryland is great. And just to clear things up, it is much like Oregon...Maryland has 32 different combinations they can wear.

I live on the west coast now and when I went to the bar and put the game on...several random people were talking about how cool our uni's are.

Don't know if it helps much, but what you can't see from that picture is that the ND helmets have green shamrocks on the side.

That helps, for sure. Plain helmets and helmets with a letter or word bore me to tears.
