Temple Tailgate

Post by VDub26Falcon »

Alright, we get to actually have real tailgate food this week with the 3:30 start!!! A few questions...where will we be? What time will we be there? Who is bringing what?

I'm leaning towards some of those gourmet burgers you get at Giant Eagle but I don't have a grille to cook on. Who's got the grille? Anybody planning on making anything special? I'd love to get started around 10:30 or 11 to give us some solid time to hangout, cornhole it up and do what we do because I won't be able to tailgate again this year unless we do some for Hockey. Can't wait to see everyone again!

GO FALCONS!!! The East is still within grasp....

This tailgate kicks off a Diaper Party for a buddy of mine. We're tailgating, watching the game, then heading up to BWW for some wings and more football. I'm not sure how many guys we expect to have out, but it should be a larger group than normal.

I'm planning to bring out the Kettle. We're gonna do brats, dogs, etc. If anybody needs to use some heat they're more than welcome to throw stuff on my grill, but I can't guarantee how much space we'll have if we have a bigger group. The kettle is only so big. But if we can keep the coals going there should be plenty of time to cook in batches.

Looks like we're supposed to get sunshine this weekend. That will be a nice change of pace after the weather we've had recently. Also I think we're gonna shoot for Lot 13 next to the islands like we were last week. That worked well, and in Lot 20 I think we'd have a hard time getting all of my buddies parked there since they're dicks about it on game day.

Lot 13 is cool with me. I actually like these lots better than our old hangout by 75...

Forecast for Saturday now is mostly sunny and 60. I'll take that any day.

GO FALCONS!!! BEAT TEMPLE!

Yeah I will always have nostalgia for the old lots ny the hill but these new lots are pretty nice. I plan to park in the lot late Friday night sometime. I'm thinking the ideal spot is the far west side of lot 13 so we have the grass and also the blocked off road to set up corn hole and whatnot. Of course that will depend on whether that area is full of rvs or not.

Whew...glad we're not bringing the camper out tomorrow night. That was a major pain in the AZZ last time we brought it out there NOT KNOWING there was a high school game going on!!

GO FALCONS!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Unfortunate change in plans...we will not be making the trip up tomorrow which sucks...just can't swing a second trip in as many weeks. Drink hard for us and get us a freaking victory!!!
