HELP!!!

Post by Class of 61 »

Anyone know about the Best Western in BG? Can't get a room at either the Hol.Inn Express or Hampton as ESPN folks have filled to two "best" hotels in BG...
I can go to Perrysburg if I have to, but would prefer to stay in BG if possible, Just don't know what kind of place the Best Western is.

Thanks

Class of 61,

My father and I stayed at the Best Western for the Toledo game. I would say that it is a good hotel to stay in.

It was clean, and the beds were relatively comfortable. Unfortunately, they aren't as nice as the Hampton hotel and are around the same price. I don't think it would be a bad second option though.

Have fun at the game! I'll be watching on ESPN. Hopefully we can pull out the W

The Best Western is very nice. My family stayed there every time they came up to visit me during my college years.

I would say get a room that has an indoor entrance only. The outdoor entrance rooms are junky.

I'd also keep trying the Hamption and Holiday Inn. They're sure to have cancellations and you may snag a room. We did that for homecoming a few years ago when everything was booked, and got a room on Thursday at the Hampton Inn.

However, you need to call the hotels directly. You can't use the 800 number or the website.

Book a back-up room in Perrysburg and if you luck out in BG, you just cancel it.

I would second this. We got an awesome corner room for $89 on the weekend of the first home football game. The outside rooms are crap but the inside ones are nice.

Also, I was pleasantly surprised on the Days Inn (formerly the Buckeye Budget). It was very nice (for a budget hotel). Stayed there this past weekend and also last year. I was checking in particular for consistency and it was good year to year. I paid $53 plus tax with my AAA last weekend.

Guys,
Thanks for the responses....I called back to the Hol.INN this morning, and got a room with no problems...guessing ESPN had pre=booked a block of rooms, then opened them up last nite..
This is our favorite BG hotel, so I'm a happy camper.... :prayer:
