If a player wants to transfer on his own, that's one thing. If a player is hiding in his apartment or the football building to avoid the coaches from other schools who are lurking in the parking lot, I'd say that is not right.

Gotta hate those guys who try to justify their huge salaries by doing what they're paid to do and play by the rules.

per the Blade - "Former UT coach Tim Beckman, now at Illinois, caused a stir Wednesday after he and several of his staff members visited State College and stood outside of the Lasch Football Building to speak with players." :vom:

It would be pretty funny if that core group of PSU players that got together yesterday, "confronted" Timmy and his crew. I'm sure they won't because they have more class than Beckmann.

Sending six guys out to Happy Valley...heh...to pick the carcass of a conference member team might be viewed as a bit much by other members of the "coaching fraternity".....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Name the last Illini coach who didn't. Started in a good year, though. A pencilled in loss to PSU just became a "should win" (if they play them this year).

Other coaches don't forget that kind of thing, especially in the Big Ten. Bielema and Dantonio thought Urban Meyer was sleazy...wait til they get to know Beckman.
