Concessions

6 sodas = $30. Should have been seeing the Dallas Cowboys for that price. Just sayin'.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

Could be worse. Bottled water alone is $6 at Dodger Stadium. Not that the onfield products are the same but the H2O is.

Worst part for me was the parking situation. Not just that there was one way in, but also the season ticket lot is a joke. There's no structure to it and if you don't park right by the sidewalk (the entrance and exit) you're not getting out. I ended up taking a detour by the visitor info center and nearly killed the car by going over the curb. Also, it's like the university never prepares for a big student turnout on the first game. This is the one game each year students decide to go to and it's always a nightmare. Seven years as a season ticket holder and it's the same thing each year. Since I've been negative, I'll counter with a positive. The game presentation on the scoreboard. It's light years above what I've seen in the past.

When I was a student, I knew I had to show up 2 hours early to the first game. After that, I could arrive 10 minutes prior to kickoff, because the majority of students have become frustrated and given up with the process. The student section was packed full and students were standing in line waiting to go nowhere. Yet, the east stands were maybe 1/4 full. I've said for the longest time that they need to have a student section in the northeast corner in addition to the northwest corner, at least for the first game.

$5 for a 32 oz soda in a souvenir cup is a bad deal? Was the original post from 1998?

I had $10 in my pocket and had to decide how to spend it. The plan? 1 pretzel and 2 bottles of pop. Unfortunately, that is all $4 each.

I guess I look at it as they charge that much because it's a captive audience. You just grow to expect those prices. As long as tailgating is permitted prior to games, the prices shouldn't bother too many people.

My complaint was the lack of port-a-johns in the grass lot near 75, there were only two, and no more senior discount for tickets.

Concessions... I knew it was going to be expensive, but the service I experienced was better than I expected. My suggestions:
Don't burn the weenies.

Buy some popcorn poppers so you can serve it fresh.

As has been stated earlier, organize the season ticket hold parking lot. Just a little. We'll complain even loader if we think we are being told what to do.

I don't want a plastic souvinier cup. Give me a plain Coke cup for $3 option.

I consider it a successful mission when I don't end up down there once.
